There are many ways of finding and landing your dream job (through your network, newsletters, working with a recruiter, having informal / coffee conversations with professionals, shortlisting your favorite companies and applying when the right position comes along, etc.), but in this article, I'll focus on job boards.
Not just any job boards though. If you're a part of my community then I know you want to work with conscious, progressive, impactful companies whose mission is to make a positive impact in the world and who are operating at a higher consciousness level. This is why I'll be sharing 3 job boards that reflect just that. Let's go! 👇
1. 80,000 Hours
80,000 Hours is an organization that encourages you to use your career to make a positive impact in your life and spend your 80,000 hours (an estimate of all working hours in your career) in an effective way - helping others, doing good, and tackling the world's most pressing problems.
They offer a range of free resources, including career guides, a job board, a podcast, and 1:1 advice. They're also part of the effective altruism community.
2. Wellfound - Start-Up Job Search
This platform allows start-ups to connect with job seekers. It features thousands of remote and start-up jobs in the US and globally.
While there are a lot of tech jobs, you'll also find lots of marketing, HR, design, and sales positions in various fields (AI, healthcare, wellness, e-commerce, education, enterprise software...).
Interesting for those of you who want to join companies that are developing new products and are on a mission to change the world.
3. Remote Impact Jobs
Katia Syrayezhkina, a specialist in fundraising, partnership building, and business mentoring, shares remote impact jobs in her weekly digest newsletter and has curated an incredibly helpful list of useful resources for global and regional job search and a list of impactful employers.
You'll find a mix of nonprofit organizations, charities + companies from all over the world from different sectors (mental health, education, finance, healthcare, energy & sustainability, etc.).
Let these boards be an inspiration and a starting point for your job search / research around your dream career.
Know that there are companies out there who share your values, who believe in what you believe in, who care about making a positive impact in the world AND who are willing to prioritize the wellbeing of their employees, meaning YOU.
